Road Trip Essentials: Baby Edition
Aside from your regular diaper bag, here’s everything I packed for my baby on our TEN HOUR road trip last week! (For reference, she turns one in two weeks!)
Even if you aren’t road tripping, this guide also doubles as some of the best baby gifts for baby showers or a one year old birthday party!
1. Mini Clear Backpack: When it comes to traveling, I prefer baby and kid items in a clear bag so we can both easily find exactly what we are looking for! The best thing about this one is it’s both mini AND stadium approved, so you can use it for concerts/events too (also amazing or Disneyland because you don’t have to open your bag!)! This backpack easily fits everything below & more - and is currently on a limited sale for a steal of a deal!
2. Elephant Lovey: The lovey that has almost 16 THOUSAND perfect reviews on amazon! It’s the best size and is the softest minky fabric. It’s so cuddly and lightweight, and my baby loves having something that smells like me when she’s in her carseat.
3. Remote Teether Toy: I feel like no matter what toys I buy, my baby always goes for our remote - so I was so happy to find this two pack of remote teethers! It’s the perfect size and has added textures that your babe will love!
4. Cup Catcher: This takes away the most frustrating part of car rides - your baby dropping their bottle, toy, etc! This leash securely attached to device and carseat, making it impossible to fall to the ground. Sold in a pack of two and your only regret will be not buying it sooner!
5. Bittie Bug Teether/Rattle: This teether HAS EVERYTHING and is less than $6. If you can find it, buy it because it’s usually sold out everywhere! The wings are peekaboo flaps plus they crinkle! The antenna and handles are knotted + textured making it the perfect teether. It’s the ultimate size for littles to grip and full of bright colors. Attach with these links!! (also such a steal!)
6. Soothing Sound Machine: A must have for your crib, pack n play, carseat and stroller! Can be loud or quiet and has a 20 or 40 minute timer option. Has both music and sound options and can easily attach to bag or carseat! Less than $15!
7. Spill-Proof Snack Cups: This 2 pack of spill-proof snack cups is a game-changer! (and only $6 for two!) It has soft flaps on top for the baby to reach into, AND it’s also top rack dishwasher safe!
8. Pouch Lids: One of my favorite inventions ever! These pouch lids control the flow and make it so your baby can’t spill! It also helps protect their mouths, maximize nutrition, and promote independence. One of my favorite mom hacks! (and the price is soooo good for two!)
9. BEST EVER Teething Tubes: If you only buy one thing from this guide, make sure it’s this! THESE HAVE NO FLAWS. and you get SIX for under $9! They can be held with one hand, each side has a different texture, and they are super bendable! They are dishwasher safe and can also go in fridge and freezer to soothe the teething gums! I promise any baby that sees these will pick them up and start chewing! 100/10
honestly considering giving these out as party favors for my baby’s first birthday, because I KNOW they will get good use!
10. Easy Grasp Rattle Ball: I couldn’t love this more + it’s less than $6! It’s so easy for little ones to grasp and also doubles as a rattle.
