Hi.

Three sisters livin the prime life. Sharing our fav Amazon finds with all of you.

Postpartum Essentials Guide
  1. Bamboobies Re-usable Nursing Pads: I prefer these nursing pads over the disposable ones, mostly because these are so much softer and gentle and less scratchy. Which, if this is your first time breastfeeding you will quickly learn that comfort in that area is everything!

  2. Nursing Sleep Bras: In those first few weeks of postpartum I found myself wearing these comfy sleep bras more than my regular nursing bras. They have easy pull aside access which was so much easier than dealing with the clips.

  3. 64oz Timed Waterbottle: If there is one core memory I have from my postpartum journey, it’s the extreme thirst I constantly had. Carrying a water bottle everywhere I went was an absolute must. I love that this water bottle gives you timed reminders helping you remember to stay hydrated!

  4. Liquid IV Hydration Packets: Like I said, the thirst, postpartum is like none other! These Liquid Hydration packets will keep you extra hydrated.

  5. Tucks Cooling Pads: These are an absolute must have after giving birth. They will bring you so much relief and help reduce burning and itching!

  6. Haakaa Breast Pump: If you plan to breastfeed, the Haakaa is an item you don’t even know you need! It helps me save so much milk in those first few weeks of breastfeeding. I never used it much as a breast pump but more or less to catch milk while feeding my baby on the other side.

  7. Breast Therapy Packs: You wont realize how much you need these until you do. They are serious life savers for when your milk comes in and you are feeling engorged. Even if you aren’t planning to breastfeed these will help bring so much relief to your boobs. Can be used hot or cold and reusable!

  8. Postpartum Recovery Essentials Kit: Frida mom knows exactly what they’re are doing when it comes to postpartum recovery care. This kit comes with everything you will need for the hospital. The Peri bottle is so much better than what they will give you there!

  9. Dulcolax Stool Softener: Its so important to continue taking a stool softener once you leave the hospital and they are no longer giving them to you. If you keep up on them it will make one of the worst parts of recovery so much more manageable.

  10. Postpartum Disposable Underwear: I totally preferred wearing disposable underwear in the hospital over the mesh undies and pads that they give you. They are so much more supportive and comfortable.

  11. Diaper Caddy: A diaper caddy is so nice to have either to keep diapers, wipes, or breastfeeding items accessible to you everywhere in the house. I loved having one with handles making it easy to take from room to room.

  12. Women’s Multi Vitamin: With how much our bodies go through during pregnancy, it’s so important to remember to continue taking a multivitamin to reduce recovery time.

  13. Lip Repair Ointment: Along with feeling dehydrated after giving birth, came some dry lips. This lip ointment gives lasting hydration so that you don’t have to keep reapplying.

  14. Lactation Massager: This helps increase milk flow or if you start to feel a clogged duct coming on this will help quickly move it out before it gets worse.

  15. Nipple Shield: These are an absolute life saver for me those first few weeks of breastfeeding. Every time my nipples were cracked or bleeding these helped to reduce the pain. (Make sure you get the correct size for your nipples)

  16. Cordless Night Light: A friend recommended this to me for my last baby and it was the best purchase! It has so many different settings and turns on by tapping it. You can easily grab it off of the charger to take to a different space and the light can go from very dim to very bright. I loved that it was enough for me to see during nighttime feedings but not so bright that it woke baby up even more. Which I believe helps them stay more relaxed and realize it’s not time to party!

  17. High Waisted Cotton Briefs: These undies are full coverage which is great for wearing pads and the high waist gives the support you want after birth.

  18. Button Down Pajama Dress: This button down dress is perfect for breastfeeding and the perfect house dress. Light weight, cute and comfortable!

  19. Soothies Breast Gel Pads: Anything that will bring you comfort in your breastfeeding journey is worth every penny. The soothing gel pads help with cracked or sore nipples and feel so nice when you are in pain.

  20. Nursing Tanks: Nursing tanks are a must in the hospital and after baby. I love that it keeps my stomach covered during feedings if I’m not wearing a shirt with buttons.

  21. Organic Nipple Butter: This nipple cream is safe for baby and if you keep up on it those first few weeks of feeding, the less likely it is that you will have issues with cracking nipples.

  22. Single Hand Breast Pump: I loved having a hand pump for when I was dealing with engorgement. I would use it for some relief or just pump enough to help baby latch. It’s also amazing for pumping on the go. And small and much easier to pack around than the electric pumps.
